Picture of the Day 17

This was taken in November 2010, at fake UK in Epcot. I was meeting Mary Poppins, one of my favorite Disney characters. I can't remember why I was laughing so hard. It was a great day, I got a friend from Montana and 2 of her friends in for free; they were in Orlando for a conference. My friend and I went to Akershus for breakfast for an early birthday celebration, met every princess except Rapunzel, went on rides, and ended the night watching Wishes. It was fantastic.

Another night in Montana

Last night, I went out with a friend from high school. At the bar, she met up with a bunch of people who she knew (it was a birthday get-together), so I decided to talk to a cute guy who was standing by the karaoke book. It turns out he was on his annual beer tour, from Calgary, Canada. He was only in town for the night with a male friend who was wasted, and headed to Idaho the next day. He was tall (at least 6'3") and handsome, with nice blue eyes and a gorgeous smile. I started flirting with him, and he started buying me drinks.

We kept talking, and I kept flirting. My friend eventually left for another bar with her group, and I promised to meet up with her soon. So Canada guy and I kept talking, while his friend drunkenly sang some country karaoke. He eventually asked me "What do you want to do?"
Me: "Honestly?"
"Of course."
Me: "Okay. I want to kiss you, and then I'd like to go home and go to sleep."
He then made 'the awkward face'...and held up his left hand, which had the same ring that his right hand had. I looked at it for a second and then it clicked.
Me: "Oh. Um. You're married?"
He nodded, somewhat ruefully. "I am. But you are so gorgeous, and if I was single, you better believe that we wouldn't be here right now."
Me: "Oh. That's...flattering. Thank you."
"No, really. Look at you!"
Me: "Thank you."
He then told me to smack him, which I refused. I don't hit people.

I felt terrible. I was hitting on a married man, even if I hadn't known. I try to be a good person. What was going on?

He and his friend decided to join me in going to the other bar, so we started walking there. He made me guess his age....I guessed 28, he was 36.

And had been married before. That was the ring on his right hand.

Married twice and 36 and now flirting with me? Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

And now that it was all out in the open, he acted astounded that I don't have a boyfriend, and kept flirting with me-giving me his coat, randomly hugging me.

I felt like shit. I left them at the bar getting more beer, and found my friend. She was dancing with a cute guy, so I left her alone and went to the bathroom, hoping it would be empty. Nope. 6 people in line, including a 41 year-old mother and her 23 year-old daughter. The mother was super drunk, and said "Can you believe I pushed this girl out of my vagina?"

I decided it was time to call it a night. I found my friend, and told her I was going to head home.

I went to bed with this knot in my stomach that hasn't gone away. What am I doing, flirting with a married man? Shouldn't I have asked about his rings? Granted, I did absolutely nothing other than hug him, but I still feel terrible.

Last spring, I met JK Simmon's day at my workplace in Montana. It was pretty awesome. JK Simmons went to the same university as me!

Meeting Daniel Radcliffe at the Stage Door; May 6, 2011

So, this happened:
My first glimpse of Daniel Radcliffe. He was signing for a group of adorable pre-teens with braces. He kept signing:
After he was finished with that side of the barrier, he came over to my side. Oh my god, oh my god, what was I going to say? I had had it all planned out and now I can't remember anything! Mention my birthday? Tell him he's gorgeous? Oh my god, oh my god, I was silently freaking out.
He was telling a girl that he was sorry she was being squished because of him, and then he was in front of me, signing my book. I just started talking, and realized he wasn't looking at me, he was talking to the squished girl. He then looked at me with those blue eyes and said "Sorry."
Me: "I loved the show, I came all the way from Montana to see it. You're amazing!"
"Oh, thank you so much! Thank you for traveling so far."
Me: "My pleasure, it was totally worth it."
He looked at me and said "You have a pretty smile", smiled at me, and then continued signing.

OH MY GOD. DANIEL RADCLIFFE JUST TOLD ME I HAVE A PRETTY SMILE I'M DYING OH MY GOD. I managed not to scream.
About 3 minutes later, he got in his car and was driven away. I was still sort of in shock. One of the crowd control guys came over as they were breaking down the barriers, and said "I just want to thank you for being so polite. You're incredibly well-behaved, I was very impressed." I thanked him, and then asked Neal if I could take a picture with him. He said yes.
My cousins were waiting for me at the theatre doors, and Matt agreed to take picture of me, thrilled to pieces:
We left to find other bar, and my cousins were making fun of me. "Was that the play he got nekkid in?" "No, it was a delightful musical." As we were walking, my mom called. She was in the hotel lobby, and I needed to go meet her. We took a cab back, and when I saw my mom and started telling her what had happened-that was when I started to cry.

President Obama in merry old England!

Meeting Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip (who turns 90 soon!)
Princess/Duchess Kate (Wales? Did her last name change?) showing off her glorious ring to first lady Michelle. "You married a man who became President? How nice."
Obama playing a fierce game of ping pong with the Prime Minister David Cameron against some 16 year-olds. The President lost, but look at his awesome game face!

At another state banquet. Tom Hanks and Colin Firth were there as well

Miranda Kerr is delighful!

She has caused much envy by the way she has managed to snap back into shape and has bounced right back to work although she has mixed feelings about going back to her job so quickly. "I felt a little nervous", Kerr said. "I hadn't been in high heels for a while. It was probably a good five months since I'd worn heels, but it was kind of like riding a bicycle."
She also revealed that she has noticed a lot of changes in her body since giving birth but she is liking how she looks. "My hips are wider, and my boobs are obviously bigger. I feel like I've become more of a woman now, and I'm really embracing those curves", Kerr said.
But the 28-year-old says that she did not embrace how she looked when she was growing up and had a few style mishaps along the way including trying to get Julia Roberts curls which went disastrously wrong. "She had curly, wavy, beautiful hair and I wanted that", she reminisced. "The perm didn't really turn out that way. It was a trend in the Eighties that I fell for, I guess."
She told Fox News recently that she had worked hard to get back in shape however explaining: "I eat extremely healthily, I do yoga and I've been working out and I definitely think the breastfeeding helps as well."

Harry Potter Post 39

...One of the most adorable pictures I've ever seen. Love it!

Darren Criss adoration, Part 4

Photobucket
"If I could hug every single one of you right now, I would do it in like, a heart beat. But I can’t cause there’s just a camera. I can hug the camera. Can I hug the camera? Can I go up there and hug it? Ok, cool, I’m gonna hug all of you!"
“I’m Darren! I… I like beaches, sushi, and small animals, who are nice.”
Photobucket
“Guys I’m kind of nutty, but you have to understand that that’s all just me being myself.”
Photobucket
“That which makes you different is what makes you strong. Whether you’re gay, straight, orange, purple, dinosaur… I don’t care.”
Photobucket
“I am now going to call another human being. Well, let’s hope it’s a human being. I’d be really amused if it was, like, a cat. But I don’t know if the conversation would be as stimulating”
Photobucket
"Let's pretend that both our lips are made of candy, after all, we need sweets every now and then" (from his song Don't You)
